Maj.-Gen. Chris Olukolade, Director of Defence Information, said in Abuja that the military was putting everything in place to ensure the safety of lives and property of the citizens of the country.
Olukolade said this in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN).
"All considerations are on to put in whatever is required to comply with the security requirements of the nation in relations to elections or all other socio-economic activities,” he said.
On the operation in the North-East, the Defence spokesperson said that the military was doing its best.
"Everybody is doing his best and trying to improve and reverse any noted setback,” the Defence spokesman said.
