Lanre Olagbaju BIO

Here he comes again his name is Lanre Olagbaju a Nigerian Gospel Recording Artist based in Minnesota, USA. his been working on is 2nd album for almost a year now and to the glory of God, it's almost done (despite all the hitch that slowed it down). he had hitherto released a single "Swagger Backfire" and a video for the title track "Olorun Alaaye" which has been nominated for the Nigerian Gospel Music Video Awards.  

To warm up the lovers of gospel music for the album and to celebrate the birth of our lord and savior Jesus Christ.Born and raised in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital, Nigeria, Lanre's interest in music started early. He was an active member of his church choir at age 7 and by the time he was 12, he was already leading his church choir. 

By the age of 20, he became a worship leader at Christ Eternal Life Mission, Ibadan. After University education, Lanre moved to Lagos and became a member of the Healing Streams…the music department of Daystar Christian Center, Lagos, Nigeria.


A Computer Scientist by training and an experienced Banker, Lanre relocated to the United States in 2007 where he caught the vision to make use of God's gift in his life. Lanre believes that Africans have a unique way of praising God which is why he has chosen to bring God quality praise the African way.

Lanre said in an interview on Eko FM "God has accolades in my local dialect that no English word can capture perfectly…that's why I have chosen this path. I wanna praise Him like an African that He made me. Because only Africans can praise Him like Africans".Lanre recorded his debut album in 2009 titled "INSTRUMENT OF PRAISE".
