EVENT: The Voice Of His Praise Host by Pastor.Osondu C. Nwokoro

The Voice of His Praise as a ministry draws it’s name and inspiration from the above scripture which enjoins the people to bless our God. The key word in the passage is “bless” which connotes an expression of goodwill by the blessed that consolidates or enhances the emotional equilibrium or station in life of the recipient of the blessing. God freely blesses us and we ought to bless Him in return within the limitations of our abilities.

Man cannot consolidate or enhance God’s station in life as He is self-made and self-sustaining, but can bless Him by consolidating and enhancing His emotional equilibrium, i.e. making Him happy through honouring and glorifying Him for His divinity and holiness.

Revelation 4:11 states that God created all things for His pleasure. “All things” include the human race. And so, “people” in Psalm 66:8 refers to us humans, the public, not one individual. For God to derive best emotional value from our blessing, such honour and glorification, which are generally captured as praise, should be given by a group of people in one voice. I Timothy 1:17 very elegantly outlines this blessing in the following words: “Now unto the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only wise God, be honour and glory for ever and ever. Amen.” For it’s literally and spiritual significance, The Voice of His Praise has adopted this statement as it’s Call to Worship as can be seen at the base of it’s banner posted above this message.

Psalm 22:3 states that He “inhabits the praises” of His people. This habitation manifests as His presence being felt in the course of His being blessed (Praised) by His people. He, therefore, in return, blesses those ones who bless him- Luke 6:38: “Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure…”

The mandate of The Voice of His Praise is therefore to provide a platform where people – christians of all denominations, as well as non- christians -can bless God in melodies (to which He easily and readily connects) in one voice, be blessed by Him in return, and be taught the manifold messages around the subject in the bible, which are broadly classified into its impact on God and the attendant derivable spiritual and tangible benefits. The ultimate aim is to improve the christian lives of believers who identify with our programmes, as they come to greater appreciation of the essence and value of blessing God via melodious praise, and to lead non-believers who have ears for music to the knowledge of Christ, and salvation through Him.
